Spring Break Photo Hack: From Chaos to Calm in 10 Minutes Flat!

Ever look at your phone full of 12 million photos, half of which are of the top half of a head, taken by a 7-year-old? Or is that just me?

With all the pics we took over Spring Break, this is fresh on my mind, so I wanted to share my 3 tips for managing our phone photo chaos!

Tip 1: Use a phone photo cleaner

I’ve loved using Clean My Phone (formerly Gemini Photos) for my iPhone. It scans your photos for duplicates and blurred photos and asks you if you want to delete it. There’s something super satisfying about hitting the “delete” button on images that have lingered in your phone for years!

Tip 2: Make albums

One for each kid, each vacation, school events, to-do’s, home decor inspiration, family photos, whatever makes sense! My favorite current album is “Print worthy” where I immediately add pictures I may want to print one day … you know, when I get to it!

Tip 3: Set a sorting routine

Once a week - sort through the last week’s photos and delete useless screenshots, duplicates and blurs and click the “heart” to favorite the ones you love; Once a month - categorize into your albums and back up amazing photos; Once a year - use your albums to create gifts or yearly memory books.

How to safely watch the solar eclipse with kids. And our pick for the safest glasses!

The Total Solar Eclipse is coming to America on Monday April 8th. The next one won’t happen for 21 years, so make sure you’re ready for this day! My kids are scheduled to on the school bus home at the time of the eclipse so it may be a “check them out early” day around here! 😀

✔️ Use certified eclipse glasses (ISO 12312-2). Buy them here!

✔️ Ensure you & your kids are wearing solar glasses.

✔️ Wear sunscreen & a hat/cap.

✖️ Don’t look directly at the sun ☀️

✖️ Don’t use regular sunglasses (even dark ones!)

✖️ Don’t use a telescope, binoculars, or camera without a proper solar filter

💡 If you can’t make it outdoors, watch NASA’s live stream!
