Energy Drinks: A New Poison for Kids?
A recent report shows a 24% increase in energy drink-related calls to poison control centers from 2022 to 2023. America's Poison Centers received 2,694 calls about energy drink exposures in people under 20. Shockingly, kids aged 6-12 had the largest increase, often unintentionally consuming these caffeinated beverages.
Remember: Energy drinks like PRIME, and even some Starbucks and Dunkin’ offerings, can be dangerous for young hearts. Let’s stick to good old H2O, shall we? | ![]() Source: Prime |

As Christine Organ wrote on Motherly, "No matter what we do, it feels like we're getting it wrong." Remember, parents: It's okay not to be perfect. As one wise soul on What To Expect said, expecting to "get it right every time" just isn't feasible. So take a deep breath, do your best, and maybe treat yourself to that pumpkin spice beverage. |
